A tour of the first floor will introduce you to the most important stages in the history of the castle (Pernštejn, Trauttmansdorff, Wallenstein, Thurn-Taxis). A selection of interiors on the 1st floor includes a visit to the Audience hall, the Guest suite where Emperor Franz Joseph I stayed in 1889 (Small dining room, Bedroom, Study, Anteroom, Butler's room) and the Chapel of St. Monica and St. Michael. The interiors boast period furnishings (furniture, paintings, glass, porcelain) and classicist wall paintings by the painter Dominik Dvořák. The tour culminates on the ground floor with a visit to the Wallenstein family's home theater from 1797. It was founded by Count Jiří Josef of Wallenstein, who also acted in performances with his family. The original stage machinery and lighting equipment have been preserved here. The author of the backdrops is the painter Josef Platzer, who also painted backdrops for the Vienna Court Theatre and the Estates Theatre in Prague.
